According to residents of the farming community, the businessman was tied up and badly beaten and left in his shop during the high noon ordeal.
The businessman, 71, whose name was given as Jhodan but is known as β€˜Django’, operates a gas station, drinking spot and general store. He apparently lived alone.

After calling for several minutes, the resident reportedly heard muffled sounds and pushed open a side door and found the businessman tied up and on the floor.
He was gagged, his hands were tied behind his back and he was bloodied from having been badly beaten on the face.
According to reports, the two young bandits had a cutlass and a knife.
They escaped with over $150,000 in cash, phone cards and cell phones.
Residents expressed surprise at the brazen act as the business place is located on a busy road that is traversed by vehicles all day long.

I think people should be more vigilant in the homeland [especially in the country side],any one who seem to act suspiciously should be questioned by the citizens of the community while at the same same time called the police. There is a law in the home land for "Citizens Arrest"

When Government lacks in providing security for the citizens, the people have a right to protect themselves,I lived thru the Kabaka days,we had a vigilante group that keep watch,it was our right as citizens to protect our community,we didn't depend on the GPF for full protection.

Now you change your tune. Go tell that to Granger, he is saying that guns don't belong in the hands of private citizens, he is looking to roll back licensing of guns to people to protect themselves.

Dude we didn't have guns while on patrol,by the way during that period guns were not in abundance in contrast to today. The PPP should be blamed for allowing the the drug trade along with it came the guns. The damn place became a wild west under their tenure.

Don't say the PNC police allowed it,the PPP were in control for 23 yrs.

This is your answer, send unarmed community patrol against gunmen?  Back in your time the PNC did not share out guns. Now they have shared out guns to their supporters to rob Indians, this approach of unarmed vigilantee will not work.

This gov't need to remove guns from the wrong hands, any one caught with illegal firearm should face a long prison term.

Where is the proof that this gov't is giving guns to rob Indians??

You have this tendency to make things up.

Did you get a strong dose of koolaid from these idiots or what?  My family has investments that require a small arsenal of guns to defend. This is who jackass Granger want to take away the guns from, the business community, so that his young PNC bandits can rob and kill with impunity.

The PnC gave out guns during its mo fiah slow fiah campaign en masse. And even today they continue to do so. This is confirmed by my independent sources. Remember the famous overseas authors who wreaked havoc during the PPP rule? Don't play stupid all of a sudden.
