Personally, I think, in the name of democracy it should be allowed. As a matter of fact I believe that it would be fair that if any party asked a recount it should be granted ONCE - if they thought the elections was close.
But if Gecom says no then the PPP/C must respect that and gracefully accept defeat.

In the end I go back to what TK said; turnover is good for democracy.
Recounts should only be requested AFTER a full release of the results. Nothing has been officially released in press conference by GECOM. It's entirely ludicrous that PPP is requesting a recount when the entire country and world has yet to know the confirmed amount of votes per region per party.
It shows how boldface and entitled PPP thought they were in the democratic process.

You have to have a count before you have a recount. Those are the rules. If you finished a count. You do not go back and count to harmonize it with a desired outcome. It is like looking for hanging chad. They are asking to go and re examine the novote etc. That initial process has to be declared. Then the challenge period is to occur.

They should not allow a recount because of the way the PPP went about it. It is obvious they have something planned and, yes, should they somehow pull off a win, is trouble galore.
Another reason they should not be allowed, nor listened to....they did not listen nor care of anyone but themselves during their tenure, f 'em.

You folks declare yourselves to be geniuses and bastions of morality only when the game is in your favor. The rules of this game is detailed. GECOM oversees a process. Counts are made at their original polling stations, statements of pols are generated and these are forwarded to GECOM who gather them up, tabulate them and post a number. A protest period ensues and each party can challenge. You cannot recount before there is a count. That is fraud as I see it.
