Is that an excuse? I think the writer is confused. He has the perception that all muslims are blamed. On the contrary, only those who commit the acts, those who see nothing wrong with it and those who make excuse for it happening drawing parallels with Christians.
Why bring Christians into ths, they have not challenged Saudi Arabia.
Thankfully the fringes on both sides are the minority. The vast majority of Muslims are not terrorists and the vast majority of non-Muslims don't consider the vast majority of Muslims terrorists. Muslims in America are still able to live very normal lives and are not being victimized as much as some would say or others would want. I was at a wedding at the masjid in Teaneck last weekend and the city actually allow people to park on the streets during jumuah prayer time while it is no parking at all other times. That means that they have considered and facilitated the parking needs of Muslims during the jumuah prayers gathering. Trump may say what he wants now because it buys him political capital but even if he becomes President, he will not even be inclined to follow through on those rantings. Needless to say, I am not concerned. Most people who end up in trouble have in some way contributed to it. I travel by air every now and then and I don't have trouble with TSA. Last year, I boarded a pland at Reagan National by going through the pre-screening when I am not pre-screened. That airport is only miles away from all the Country's most important places.
