Well, my phonetic Guyanese creole is really in protest against media which  encourages creole in print! It is NOT a goddamned language fit for publishing, not when we had spent years in primary school being indoctrinated in the use of the English language! How could the five major English-speaking foreigners understand us in print, except as a backward people, these Guyanese? Creole is for home consumption, not for broadcasting!

I've been praised by posters on the NYT for my writing and even told one envious admirer that all you need is a thesaurus and a dictionary to choose the right word to express your thoughts clearly! There's no need to choose words that make you appear to be a scholar! You're writing to be understood by a majority of readers, not some select group! One poster was using 'big' words, so I asked him if that was his everyday way of speaking! I've also deliberately posted in Creolese on the NYT, to the dismay of many!

I've admired Lincoln Lewis! David Hinds, too! But when Hinds started his nonsense about handouts for the people, he pissed me off! Who did he think he was? President Granger?
