Trump spent the day after losing another presidential debate firing bombing the Speaker of the House from his own party.

Ryan still hasn’t taken back his endorsement of Trump, so he has earned no medals for political courage in the service of the public good, but the Republican Party is effectively writing off the White House in an attempt to save their House and Senate majorities.

Trump’s supporters are vowing to vote against any Republican candidate who abandons their hero, so what the national is witnessing on a larger scale is the same dynamic that political observers have been watching play out for years in the Republican House majority.
