who may wish to guide me to the correct Website.

In the Ambassador's accounts on the Suspension of the 1953 Constitution, he stopped at the detention of Dr. Jagan and Mrs. Jagan.

However, I have a journal of a detainee which states that detentions were carried out well into 1955.

It appears, Mrs. Jagan with her organizational skills controlled ( Cheddie in prison) men in the rural coastal communities. They were 20 men arrested and dteained during September 1954 to June 1955. Mrs. Jagan, herself was detaineed on September 1954-and for 5 months.

The West on Trial makes no mention of this or the ordinary men of the villages. It does mention men of the superior sort and city dwellers.

For the Ambassador, is this omission deliberate or is it that that information was not available. The journal claims the CIA and MI-5 did interrogartions at the Mazaruni Penal Settlement.

You may wish to reply through the Administrator-if u should read this.

For Sunil, sometime ago u published released information from British Intelligence of the period. But I did not c anything on this relevant enquiry. Perhaps, u could direct me to site again.

Thank You.

Yes, it is his journal.

Deceased.

I want to be sure of his account of the incidents that took place. According to his journal the CIA was involved after the party heads were released. The CIA were concerned that the ordinary men could do more damages than the leadership of the party. They actually were ready blowup sugar estates-that brought out the British troops.

Anyway, I want to sure of the incident. I believe his journal, because I witnessed most of it and being a PPP ghost writer of 1953, I should know.

However, the internment and CIA interrogation needs to be confirmed. I wasn't privy to all of that only his wriiten commentaries.
