traveling to the homeland is a nightmare.

Vish, let's give Dynamic credit for trying at least. I am sure one day it will come out of its woes and become a reliable airline.

I am not against Dynamic but they need to show more respect and outreach to our community especially in Richmond Hill.

GAC was a nightmare.  There were a one plane operation and frequently had service break downs.  North American frequently had to run routes for them when this happened, which is why they decided to run the route when GAC collapsed. GA 2000 lasted one year.  Started late 1999 and by early 2001 was no more.  And this airline was run by one of Guyana's most sophisticated business people, Yesu Persaud.

That is why even though they had nonstops BWIA was able to rebuild its market into GEO from JFK despite the stop in POS.  Folks preferred to take an 1 1/2 more and get there than risk GAC stranding them.  I remember people using them had to stay glued to the Guyana radio in case GAC canceled or severely delayed service.

The notion that small and poor countries should have national carriers is passe. Jamaica and the Dom Republic dont even though they are much larger travel markets than is Guyana.  Barbados doesnt have one either.  T&T has but then they are rich, and almost 2,000 jobs are connected to the airline in that island.

Guyana should be attempting to attract foreign carriers which will be used to service GEO routes alongside CAL and Fly Jamaica, which are both designated as Guyana flag carriers.

So why should Guyana have a national airline when we cannot even build proper roads into the interior and planes are always crashing because there are poor navigational aids when they weather gets bad?  Any way Guyana has a low ranking by the FAA and so no Guyana based carrier will be allowed into US airspace.

Dynamic are a bunch of unscrupulous AMERICANS who are ripping off Guyanese and who have NO respect for them.
