As the many housing schemes develop along the East Bank Demerara, gov't saw the need for the four lane highway

Buddy RK et al washing drug money! A four lane highway was a necessity since it is national infrastructure. Burnham did not build the courentyne highway or the linden highway because of housing schemes. It was in inevitable transportation network. The government must be commended  for  doing what is necessary but don't try to piggy back the money laundering schemes as government development.
