Many of these people on the list refused to be yes robots in the PPP party or play the bollywood type role of a rank opportunist silver mouth Masacura Man.  So many of them were given the freeze out by Ma and then Pa.  Weeks would pass Ma then Pa would not say a single word to them.  Sending the message clearly to them "We don't want you so get the hell out".

Nevertheless, the Jagans are no longer in power.  The Jagan extended family always put friendships above Ma and Pa politics.  That says alot about them.  People should always be thankfull to them and respect them for that

The PNC has always attracted East Indian who had personal relationship with the leader and thus were in most cases promoted beyond their competence.

But you did have a few highly skilled ones - Vincent Teekah, Ranji Candisingh, Mohammed Shabuhudeen and Sridatt Ramphall.

One thing in common they all had was they personally envied Cheddi Jagan.  So they went to the PNC out of personal hatred for Jagan rather than for reasons of principles.

Add all of these up and they aren't even 5% of the Indian population.  And most Indians view them as race traitors.

Indians vote race just as blacks do.

Up to 1992, these were the ones I knew of:

[1] CYRIL BELGRAVE

[2] CLEMENT ROHEE

[3] CLINTON COLLYMORE

[4] SHIRLEY EDWARDS

[5] EDDIE RODNEY

[6] AERI AESOP

[7] MITCHELL

[8] BEATON

[9] ROGER LUNCHEON

and a few more down the pecking order.

After 1992, when the PPP got back in government, more blacks joined, after deserting the PNC. Sorry I can't account for them as I had stopped visiting the F-House on Robb Street.

Of course, you should know the well-known ones in Ramotar's Cabinet which he inherited from Jagdeo, plus Phulourie Joe Hamilton.

Mr. B perhaps they had envy that they could not go over to Castellani house and play their monthly game of tennis with Burnham like Jagan did.  Unlike you they may not have liked their every move and words spoken or written being scrutinized and interpeted as being disloyal to the leaders and the party.

No doubt Burnham and Jagan had an understanding.

That is why the instructions were issued in 1978 to the House of Isreal, DO NOT TOUCH CHEDDI.

But these were shallow men who only thought of themselves - Sridatt and all of them.

Most likely all 1,334, Don.

The 1964 elections were based on Proportional Representation, not the first-past-the-post constituency list system.

Mr.B watch what you say.  It would be something if Sir Shridatt tie you up with his legal mind in the courts for years to come in some remote part of the US. Unlike some people on the board who have only their bed that they sleep on and the rum bottle under it you on the other hand have a lot to lose.
