Hey Django, take your telescope off PPP former junior finance minister Edghill and focus on APNU junior finance minister Jaipaul Sharma. What qualifications he has besides a few Accounting certificates? In my middle age in Canada I studied Accounting from scratch and earned a diploma with distinction (92 percent grade) after 3 years. Does that qualify me for junior finance minister in Guyana? Definitely not. Does it qualify me for President of Guyana? Sure. π

Boy, I left Guyana with long experience and solid certification in journalism. Could not get a newspaper job in Toronto. Why? No Canadian experience. I had to switch careers or perish.

I hear you.
It's tough when you migrate and don't get back in the field you were in.
Any way that's life, some are lucky to fall in their same career and some have to switch.
