As of today, August 26, 2020, no election petition has been filed, but I would wait until the end of August to give the coalition the benefit of the doubt. As of now, I would like to indulge in reasons why not file a petition as important as this. If no petition is not filed or intended to file before the deadline, only then I will consider the PPP a legitimate government. Though I don't care about either party, I do care who the electorates want to carry out the people's mandate and govern. If people want to be happy or suffer, their choice must be respected. It is not for us who didn't vote or living in foreign lands to decide.

That said, let's indulged in what may have be been the cause thus far.

Take that drink on Monday for the PPP victory then because there will be no petition filed.

I shall do just that for the people of Guyana and to know that their choice is fully respected.
