When will the elections petition be filed?  This is the question some have been asking.  Others have categorically stated that there will be no petition.  The Coalition has signalled that the petition will be filed on August 31.

The coalition also signalled that they had won the 2020 elections which was free and fair according to Granger. I am looking forward to this  if indeed the election petition is filed. We going down the same road as the NCM, the Unilateral selection of Paterson as GECOM’s  chair and the multiple COJ cases that challenged the election results

To the PPP credit when they believed there was questions regarding the vote count in 2015, they filed a petition. There will be no such petition filed by the PNC cabal because their claims are baseless and without merit. However, if they were silly to file them the proceeding will only prove the massive fraud committed by Mingo, Lowenfield, Carol Joseph, Volda Lawrence all the way to Granger.

PNC/AFC problems are more grandiloquent.  They have to find a whole lot of dead people and then prove they voted and voted PPP.

Was this the same person who was making rules about crowds when he was trying to steal the elections? These people are hypocrites.

APNU+AFC trying to mobilise crowd for petition presentation despite COVID-19 restrictions

The APNU+AFC coalition appears to be organizing another mass gathering in contravention of the ongoing protocols to mitigate the spread of the COVID19 disease.

A Facebook message purporting to be from coalition campaign manager Joseph Harmon announced this morning that the promised elections petition will be filed on Monday August 31 at the Supreme Court.

It goes on to encourage party supporters to “mobilize in numbers” outside the Court.

“We want a big manifestation against this persecution that is going on,” the message concludes.

Stabroek News attempted to reach Harmon for comment on the issue but calls to his phone went unanswered. The page which shared the message, Comrade Joseph Harmon – PNCR, describes itself as a fan page of the coalition and has been used in the past to share messages on his behalf.

Despite the country prohibition on public gathering of more than 10 persons the coalition continues to encourage its supports to gather in large numbers.

Most recently a similar gathering was observed outside the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court when PNCR Chairperson Volda Lawrence was charged with electoral fraud.

Similar crowds daily gathered outside of state house and the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) over the five months it took to declare the results of the March 2 polls.

The police must break up any unlawful gathering in accordance with COVID restrictions.

PNC must also wait in line till after the PPP 2015 election petition is heard.

Bai, just stay far. Let them spread Covid among themselves. Harmon purposely doing this to create a confrontation. Let them self destruct just like the Buxton Freedom Fighters.

Election Petition to be filed on August 31 – Harmon

Joseph Harmon

Joseph Harmon has announced that the APNU/AFC’s election petition will be filed on August 31.

In a Facebook post, Harmon said “The petition will be filed on Monday 31st August, 10am, Supreme Court Building.”

When contacted by INews, Harmon confirmed that the petition is ready to be filed.

Harmon only recently confirmed that he will be the country’s Opposition Leader.

“The Opposition Members of Parliament, they vote for you in the Parliamentâ€Ķbut internally among all our MPs (Members of Parliament) I have been nominated and seconded by our MPs to be that personâ€Ķ there is still a second phase it has to go through which is when the Parliament convenes then the MPs will actually make that nomination and election in the Parliament,” Harmon disclosed.

Just over two weeks ago, Harmon, an attorney-at-law and former army member, was co-opted to serve on the PNCR Central Executive Committee (CEC).

The APNU/AFC Coalition is claiming that there were irregularities during the voting process – allegations, however, unsupported by any public proof.
