Guyana's coastal region is influenced by the Amazon and Orinoco rivers.
Because of their influences one will note the changes that occurs along the coast land where areas are build up while others are washed away.

It's no longer an Island. That channel between it and Fort Ordinance is silted up. I don't know if it is under water during high tides. Still a haven for buck crabs, when in season.
