President Granger I believe is a fan of classical music especially Handel. Handel was court musician to King George I and wrote a masterful "Coronation Anthem" "Zadok the Priest" which truly captures the essence of God's charge to earthly rulers.

I think Granger is kind of an Anglophile (not an insult) in the way he behaves. The manner in which he accepted Communion in the Anglican Church is the old school way of on the tongue hands close to breast. And I couldn't help but noticed how his State Opening of Parliament was a virtual copy of the 1966 State Opening where the Governor-General delivered a Throne Speech and the Speaker bowed to the Governor-General. I couldn't help but notice the Clerk and the Speaker bowing to Granger in the royal fashion.

Absolutely beautiful. I had no idea Mathis did anything like this. I'm always amazed at how singers, the ones without classical training, can get the accent of a non-native language just right. Like Mathis gets the Latin here just perfect.

This is Haydn's "Te Deum" from his "Nelson Mass" which I believe was commissioned to commemorate the victory of Admiral Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar over the French Imperial Navy of Napoleon smashing the threat of French invasion of the Home Islands.

For you non-Catholics and non-Anglicans, a Te Deum is a prayer of thanksgiving. Here is a pretty decent version of Haydn's composition:

the 2nd movement of this Mozart masterpiece may be a bit overexposed, but Yeol Eum Sol has taken this composition to a whole new level with impossible technique and feeling
