Does anyone know where one can purchase a Fine-Leaf Thyme plant in Canada (i.e. Toronto)? I really would like to try my hand at growing this herb. Anyone have the seeds?

Check at Markham Road and Lawrence at the entrance of the plaza around May-June, They usually sell lots of herbs and plants there. Also,you can get someone to give you a stem and put it in water to get roots, then plant it.It is easy to grow.

Thanks for the quick response BP. I will be on the look out come May-June for this plant. Last August I actually brought back a piece from Guyana to grow. Not sure if I overdid it with the watering or if my soil composition was wrong. The poor plant did not last more than 1 week. Do you have any tips to offer for growing the plant indoors? keep it next to a window where there is enough light and warmth from the sum.Just be patient and don't water too much.Also, use some miracle grow.

Many plants esp those from warm climates like the humidity maybe in the laundry room/furnace area where they can also receive light.

There's a small McDonald's there with a few condos at the back of the small strip mall.
I made a mistake, it's at Midland and Danforth Rd (not Danforth Ave)actually on Midland South of Eglinton before StClair.

Now that I know the plant is available in a few locations in Toronto, I'll make a special trip to Toronto this spring to get the plant. I'm in Ottawa but haven't found this plant at any of the west-indian grocery stores.

The folk on this BB know of my claim to great tennis rolls and they would warn you,hehehe
It always turned out quite hard, I always seem to have trouble with the dough not rising and I wind up purchasing the darn things.
The link you posted is to Wayne's page and the recipe I believe is the same.
