A release from the airport today said that this is in keeping with the airport’s zero-tolerance of such acts.

CoCaine and and company will now lose some of their contacts at the airport. However as I continue to tell people, they have to make a stink if they are accosted at the airport to pay bribes. I urge you all to do your part to clean up the airport instead of paying like ASJ and his family. Here's what you should do:
Against this backdrop, passengers are being urged to demand receipts for payments made at check-in, and encouraged to report all requests for money or bribery by staff of the airport.
Further, passengers should also note that there is no additional charge for carrying frozen or cooked foods in their baggage, unless they are overweight.
CJIA is advising passengers to report any misconduct of its staff to the Supervisors or Managers of the respective Airlines or the Airport Duty Office (ADO) on telephone numbers 592-261-2261/600-7022.

yes getting petty employees who demand GY$5,000 (US$25) while the ones who make millions of dollars (US) from corrupt practises and drug smuggling remain unpunished.
