A cricket ball is seen on the edge of outer space after it was attached to a helium balloon and launched to an altitude of 110,000 feet -- approximately three times the cruising altitude of a commercial airplane. The England and Wales Cricket Board worked with a team of engineers for the launch, which announced the start of the NatWest T20 Blast competition on Friday, May 16. The ball landed safely back to Earth in near-perfect condition.
