The Syrian government forces managed to push the armed men out of the mountainous region on Saturday after intense clashes with foreign-sponsored militants.
The mountains are located in the vicinity of Syria-Lebanon border.
The latest victory of Syrian army soldiers against the militants cut off one of the supply routes of the militants and could prevent them from launching more attacks on nearby Syrian cities.
Syrian troops also stormed terrorist hideouts in al-Nabek, Adra, Qara and Rankous in Damascus countryside and killed a number of armed men, destroying their weapons and ammunition.
On Friday, Syrian soldiers also killed dozens of militants after clashes in the town of al-Hejjeira on the outskirts of Damascus.
Syrian troops also targeted militants in the town of Erbin near the capital, and shot dead scores of foreign-backed militants. A large amount of weapons and munitions was also destroyed after the fierce gun battle.
Moreover, Syrian soldiers clashed with militants on the outskirts of al-Bahariyeh and al-Qassimiyeh towns. Dozens of gunmen were killed in the heavy exchanges of fire.
The crisis in Syria began in March 2011 and many people, including large numbers of Syrian soldiers and security forces, have been killed in the foreign-sponsored militancy.
Last month, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said militants from as many as 29 different countries were fighting against Syria.
The West and its regional allies - especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey - are reportedly supporting the militants.
