Former Information Minister under the People’s National Congress (PNC) Administration, Kit Nascimento has called out caretaker President David Granger on his flip-flopping attitude in relation to sticking to his commitments to adhere to the Constitution, rulings of the court and declarations of the Elections Commission.
He explained that he was caught by surprise when Granger faced the media following the commission of the Infectious Diseases Hospital on Friday.
speaking as President and Leader of the governing APNU/AFC, that he will honour the decision of the Chairman of GECOM.

That wicked SOB granger will fall very hard.
Kit Nastimento cannot be trusted. That he is part of the PPP cabal tells a lot about what the PPP has become. Is Nastimento still working for the CIA?
He working for you ?

Burnham's PNC regime knew that Nascimento and his relative Peter D'Aguiar served CIA interests 1962-1964. After D'Aguiar's United Force broke away from the PNC-UF Coalition in 1968, Burnham retained the services of Nascimento and made him PNC Minister of Information. There was no contradiction because Burnham's PNC had also benefited from American intervention via the CIA 1962-1964. All that is well documented.
Burnham turned his back to the Americans and the CIA since the 1970s. Why would one ask in 2020 if Nascimento "still working for the CIA"?
From what I have been hearing lately Burnham won the information war internally and externally because of Nascimento's contribution to that information. It is like Nascimento being Burnham most needed person during those days so obviously Burnham felt he can be trusted.

In 1989 I attended a one-week seminar at the Jose Marti Institute of Journalism in Cuba. The main guest speaker at one session was a former Cuban representative at UNESCO. When he heard I am Guyanese he approached me and asked if I knew Nascimento. I said YES. He was full of praise for Nascimento's work in UNESCO, particularly his contribution to the development of the then New International Information Order that was promoted by the Non-Aligned Movement. He said Nascimento was very knowledgeable about the inequality of news flows between the developed nations and the under-developed ones.
It was Nascimento that put together Burnham's book " A destiny to mold". I never read this book so I don't know how good it is.

I know Sir Gilly is pissed at me at the moment. But if Sir Gilly had read Burnham's book "A Destiny to mold". Then it would be good if he shares what he thinks of Nascimento's work in putting the book together.
nascimento is no different than green, both bigots.

The book was about Burnham's speeches.

Right. And the majority of those speeches were made when Burnham was fiercely anti-communist, anti--Castro etc.
The book became an embarrassment to Burnham when he befriended Castro, the communist Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and Korea's Kim Il Sung.
So, while Cheddi Jagan's "The West on Trial" was published in more than two editions, Burnham never asked Nascimento to bring out a second edition of "A Destiny to Mould".
So much so that even today's PPP supporters know about Jagan's book. But go ask young Burnhamites if they know anything about "A Destiny to Mould" and they will most likely stare at you as if you're talking about Barack Obama.
