Four Horsemen Emancipation one day horserace meet… Changes made as support rolls in from Overseas and Guyana

As support continues to roll in for the much anticipated one day Emancipation Horserace meet organised by the Four Horsemen Promotion Group, the organisers have been forced to make a few changes to the days programme to accommodate the overwhelming amount of support they have been receiving so far.
There is less than a month to go before the big day which is slated for Tuesday 1st August at the Port Mourant (Big Yard) Turf Club (PMTC), Corentyne Berbice. So far there are over 30 entries with a total of $5M in cash and trophies at stake. Seven races are still listed for the day.
The feature event is for animals’ classified E3 and non-winners for 2016 and 2017. It also caters for animals’ classified F and G that has not earned over $500,000 for 2017. The distance is now 1300M for winning take of $350,000 and trophy. The event for 3 years old animals will now be open to all Guyana Bred animals. The distance is now 1300 meters for a winning pocket of $300,000 and trophy.
The other event remain the same with –the animals classified H3 and lower over 1200M running for a first prize of $300,000 and trophy.
The 2 yrs old Guyana bred animals will have their first taste of the track over 900M for a $250,000 reward and trophy.
The I3 & lower animals will be competing over 1200M for a take home pay of $200,000 and trophy. The J3 and lower animals and those 4 years and older and K class will be racing over 1100M for a winning prize of $150,000 over 1100M.
The L class non earners of $150,000 in 2017 will have an opportunity to run as they compete for a pole position taking of $120,000 over 1200M.
A number of trophies, both from overseas and Guyana have already been received for the days meet. No late entries will be accepted.
