How much did Indian Guyanese participate in Guyana's national events during the PPP 23 years in government compared to black Guyanese?

Every event commemorating Independence during the PPP era, blacks in Guyana, and blacks outside of Guyana were involved.

Good start. Now go back and read my comment within your context above.

I removed the rest of your response because they are irrelevant.

No doubt national events in Guyana are generally seen as blackman events. That is not an indictment on their Indian population. The Amerindians, Whites and Chinese Guyanese also do not observe these as much as blacks do. That is the casualty of Guyana's racial politics during the commencements of these events. Blacks and other races in the US don't observe/celebrate US national events as fervently as whites, and especially those whites in Middle America. Using Jamaica is a terrible example since their experiences are completely different from Guyana. The Jamiacan Indian population is hardly mentioned and many would be surprised to find out that Jamaica has Indians.

are you serious . . . or just plain stupid!?

Don't just get into the discussion just for the heck of getting into it. Something of substance would be tremendously welcomed.

in context, what exactly about my post is insubstantial or difficult to understand?

look up "ridicule"

So why don't you follow your own advice and offer something of substance.

Your attempts to compare Amerindians, or American blacks with Indo Guyanese is deeply dishonest.

Nothing you post is difficult for me to understand. On the other hand, your response was reckless and off point. Again your presumption that I need to look up ridicule suggest how tormented you are.

And yet you fail to explain why Indians don't exhibit similar behavior.  They demand the same rights as Guyanese  as do blacks, who why is their patriotism more tied to whether they perceive their own kind to be in power or not?

I disagree with your comment that Indians in Guyana are brainwashed.

Well then they just hate being Guyanese.

This comment don't even remotely correspond to my comment above.

Well they don't care about Guyana, so we can either assume being brainwashed, or just hating being Guyanese.

If you don't agree then tell us why, because this is how it looks.

That is only because you did not have the capacity or chose not to exercise it when reading my post. Don't care to help you there bai.

And what did you say?  You said that Indians consider national events to be blackman events, and you seem OK with that.

You then proceed to pretend as if white Guyanese, Amerindians, and black Americans can be compared to Indo Guyanese.  Such comparisons being either deeply hilarious, or blatantly dishonest.

Still waiting for something of substance from you.

Correct. You don't say anything.

Is it that you have something to hide?

Interesting how you responded to me not saying anything.

Yes.  You say nothing, and then claim otherwise.

You said NOTHING. Just admit it and accept it.

Assumptions are always reckless behavior.

We make assumptions based on evidence presented.

You have NOT refuted this evidence, so my position still stands.

Indo Guyanese exhibit lower levels of patriotism than do Afro Guyanese.  What they show is more tied to which party is in power.

Afro Guyanese are more able to separate their views of the party in power from themselves as a people who wish to acknowledge pride in the Guyanese NATION!  PNC or PPP, they attend and participate in events to celebrate the nation of Guyana.

You can say nothing, as you are already doing. Or you can offer an opinion.

And DG Jamaica is a very tribalized country politically.  When they had their 50th BOTH parties were involved in the planning.

Where was the PPP in the planning.  NOWHERE.

They were off sulking that this was a blackman event and that it was a waste of money, and that there is nothing to celebrate, since "everything crash".

Until you PPP supporters cease being slaves, and you demand that Jagdeo is removed, the PPP will lose!

I read somewhere that this was a purely Blackman affair? A very low turnout by Koolie people. Could you confirm Caribny. You seem to know everything - that is why I ask for validation.

Whatever comforts you bai.

OK, you cannot craft a response, and so resort to inane stupidity.

So my position stands as you cannot counter it.

That is what you wrote.

Exactly. So are you still confused?

No I am perfectly clear.  National events are seen as blackman events.  At least so you say.

Are Afro Guyanese more "Guyanese" than other groups, so more apt to celebrate Guyana?

I suspect that if they suggested that, you would loudly condemn them, and correctly so.

So why then are national events "blackman" events?  Blacks are only 30% of the population, at most 50% if one assumes that all mixed Guyanese are partially black, which isn't true.

There is a point when discussions lose their usefulness.

I agree. When a man makes a claim that he cannot back, and then resorts to inanities.

You made a claim, and ought to expand on it. You are unable to do so.

I stated everything  needed to in my first post. Your inability or refusal to grasp it is your problem. I have no desire to restate it. You on your own there.

Sure.  That celebrating Guyana as a nation is a black man event.

You then further state that Indians don't involve themselves in it (you don't say why).

You then use African Americans (a highly marginalized group, in ways that Indo Guyanese are NOT), white Guyanese (who became extinct 70 years ago) and Amerindians, (who have never have had any involvement in any aspect of mainstream Guyana, so can be excused for not seeing themselves as part of it.

I guess trapped in your own folly, you then refuse to comment further, so resort to inanities.
