There were three games each on Saturday and Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA), Powerade/Rainforest Water/ Malta Supreme, 1st, 2nd and under-23 division tournaments continued. On Saturday, defending Under-23 champions Colts brought an end to Eaglesβ unbeaten run with a huge 30 point, 73-43 demolition. Coltsβ Jafar Gibbons led with eth game high 19 points. Game two on Saturday saw Nets edging Kobras by one point 62-61 in the first division. In the third and final game of the night, defending first division champions Bounty Colts continued their winning ways with an easy 78-58, 20-point win over Pepsi Sonics. On Sunday in the initial 2nd division match-up between Pacesetters and Sonics, they former enjoyed a huge victory, 98-40 continuing the woes of Pepsi Sonics in the league. In game two, reigning second division champs, Bounty Colts added another win to their list, a 70-62 triumph over the University of Guyana Trojans. In the feature match of the night a division-one match-up, UG Trojans suffered a second defeat of the night, this time to Plaisance Guardians, 88-47. The tournament will continue tonight with two matches at the cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The first will see Kobras bouncing against Pacesetters in the Under-23 division and Colts taking on UG Trojans in a second division clash.
