In order for athletes to perform to the best of their ability consistently, suitable equipment are needed, that is the primary reason Manager of the sports section of Colours Boutique, Dexter Garnett, has decided to assist young goalkeeper Sase Norville of Chase Academy.
Garnett presented a pair of football shoes to Norville at a simple ceremony held yesterday at Colours Boutique at 70 Robb Street, Lacytown.
Garnett, who was newly appointed in the said position with the entity, said that he is always eager to support sports and wants to encourage the youths to balance their sporting careers with their education because there is a life after sports.
Henry Chase, the principal of Chase Academy, said he is elated to see the entity give back to the society and called on other businesses to support the school programme. He added that such a gesture is important for the development of an athlete and the game itself.
Both Chase and Norville, who is a member of the Chase Academy football team, expressed gratitude to Garnett for the gesture.
Chase Academy are the defending champions of the Digicel Schools football tournament.
