The 2017/2018 Guyana Cricket Board/ Demerara Mutual Life Assurance Society Limited/National Sport Commission/ National Secondary School Cricket League (GCB/DMLAS/NSC/NSSCL) continued recently with matches being played on the East Coast of Demerara, West Demerara and Berbice.
At the Zeeburg ground on the West Coast of Demerara, Stewartville won the toss and elected bowled, dismissing Sarawat for a mere 72 off 19.5 overs of their allotted 30 overs. Beesham Singh top scored with 19. Bowling for Stewartville, Alex Ali grabbed 5 for 18 and Richardo Panaram 2 for 23.
In reply, Stewartville overhauled Sarawat score in 13 overs, reaching 73 for 8. Alex Ali was unbeaten on 26, while Balist Budrammade 18. Bowling for Sarawat, Mahendra Persaud and Beesham Singh took one wicket each. Stewartville won by 2 wickets.
Over at Enterprise, Annandale batted first and posted a challenging score of 170-5 off 25 of the allotted 30 overs. Ronaldo Fredericks scored a solid 58, Romel Dotterden 37 and Vinod Sundar 25. Keron Sutton took 2 for 16 off 4 overs.
In Reply, Buxton could only muster 70; Vinod Sundarde bagged 7 for 12 off 5.4 overs. Ronald Fredricks supported with 3 for 12. Annandale won by 100 runs.
In another match, played at the Enterprise ground, Bladen Hall batted first and managed 136 for 8 off their reduced 25 overs. Vickram Narine made 40. Bowling for Golden Grove, Shannor Noville grabbed 4 for 39 and Clayden Ferguson 2 for 27.
In reply, Golden Grove Secondary could only post 100 off 21.4 of their allotted 25 overs. Rhyme Mohamed top scored with 24. Bowling for Bladen Hall, Roberto Thomas grabbed 6 for 7. Bladen Hall Secondary won by 36 runs.
Over at Cumberland, in Berbice, Berbice high won the toss and decided to bat but bowled out for 93 off 23.1 overs. Daniel Narsaiah got 25; Nicholas Haywood and Intiaz Jaundoo both grabbed three wickets each, while Nicholas Amsterdam supported with two.
In reply, New Amsterdam reached 94 for 4 off 18.3. Troy Sookraj scored 39. Bowling for Berbice High, Zynul Ramsammy claimed 3 for 26. New Amsterdam won by 6 wickets.
