The Guyana Cricket Board through its structural development programme recently presented a Honda Brush Cutter to Mr. Rohan Sarjoo, Vice President of the East Bank Demerara Cricket Association. As is being done in other locations across the country, the Brush Cutter was given for the intended purpose of maintaining training and playing facilities. President of the East Bank Cricket Association, Mr. Anand Kalladeen, who is also a member of the GCB executive, was very instrumental in formulating a strategic ground development plan. The conceptualization of presenting the brush cutter was derived from such a plan and this valuable donation is expected to be of tremendous benefit to the EBDCA. The GCB hopes that this contribution will assist the EBDCA in delivering their duties and responsibilities in a more efficient manner. The GCB noted that the EBDCA has plans to commence their 2017 T20 tournament from Saturday. This timely and valuable contribution is a demonstration of the GCBβs continued effort to collaboratively organize, develop and promote cricket in Guyana, and the GCB feels privileged to work with Associations, Committees and Counties who places heavy emphasis on Guyanaβs cricket development and promotion.
