Gerhard needs to take a different and more pragmatic line.  If he feels for any reason current blogs are not doing justice, then he is free to start his own where he could be the judge, jury and executioner.  While I do agree there should be some limits on what is posted, censorship and draconian controls are not the solution.  It not his place to decide based on his preconceived notions of right and wrong.

What a bellicose way of saying nothing. You have yet to provide evidence to back up your claim that state money is being spent to provide hate sites.  Right now the opposition is going through the budget with a fine tooth comb, the closest they came to shutting down govt propaganda was the denial of subsidy to the Chronicle, and rightly so. But beyond that, there is no evidence of govt paying for hate sites. 

I agree with Baseman's position. We need to preserve free speech but hate should not be tolerated. Gerhard has certainly opened up a debate that we should all engage in.

We need to be careful otherwise freedom of expression will be wrongly sacrificed in the guise of eliminating hate.

Try taking your hearsay evidence to court and see if it stands up.  Let us deal with facts not perception. You are a sly one, using hearsay when it benefits your erroneous position and calling for facts in other situations.
