Slingerz FC made light work of Beavers FC when they hammered them 6-1 yesterday as play in the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) of the GFF/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 Intra Association league continued at the Den Amstel Community ground.

Rivaldo Smith of Slingerz nets his second goal against Beavers whose goalie is well off the line and a Beavers player tries to deny the chance.

The result for the young Slingrez outfit never seemed in doubt and by the end of the first half they were leading by a comfortable 2-0 margin; both goals came off the boot of Brentnol Bobb in the 10^th and 30^th minute, respectively.

Ronaldo Macey hammered in the first of his double in the 48^th minute before Beavers finally pulled one back through Shaquel Richards in the 55^th minute. But that was the first and last time that the West Bank boys were able to find the back of the nets.

Three minutes later it was back to goal scoring business for Slingerz when Macey achieved his second goal and to close off proceedings, Rivaldo Smith banged in two of his own in the 70^th and 72^nd minute to complete the rout for Slingerz.

Today, Wales United will come up against Eagles FC in the lone match from12:00hrs while tomorrow from the same time, Den Amstel will lock horns with Beavers.
