Action in the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) leg of the GFF/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 Intra Association Leaguecontinued with a number of matches recently at the Golden Grove ground. Buxton Stars recorded the biggest win of the last four matches, a whopping 5-0 walloping of Bachelors Adventure Paradise. Ann’s Grove United were 1-0 winners over Plaisance in one of three matches played on Wednesday last at the same venue. Golden Stars shone brightly against their opponents, BV Triumph United, thumping them 3-1 with the other match petering out to a 1-1 draw between Buxton United and Mahaica Determinators. Buxton got their goals from Shamar Singh (9th), Teshawn Gordon (14th), Kerwin Maxwell (15th), Ingram Charles in the 50th minute and Daylon Blair from the penalty spot in the 65th minute. Ann’s Grove United’s lone and winning goal against Plaisance was scored by Shane Higgins in the 20th minute. Golden Stars victory over BV Triumph United was engineered by a double strike from Kevin Washington in the 9th and 40th minutes with Shawn Adonis tucking in the other in the 50th minute. BV’s consolation goal was scored by Omari Glasgow in the 70th minute from the penalty spot. And, Buxton United, clawed their way back from being a goal down against Mahaica Determinators in the 20th minute after Julius Hamilton put his team ahead, to equalize in the 55th minute through Troni Semple.
