Guyanese of Portuguese decent. Knows absolutely nothing about Portuguese, knows all about being Guyanese.

I stand corrected.  However being perceived as being of Portuguese descent in Guyana isn't without meaning. Even if not to you.  That is why D'Aguiar couldn't win.

Guyana is just that kind of a country.

Indeed, a long-long time ago I numbed myself to the ethnic injustices of Indians by fellow Indians. Indian shopkeepers robbing and shortchanging Indian customers. Rich Indian men sexually exploiting their poor Indian domestics. Cowardly Indians hiring blacks to kill their own Indian relatives for land and house. These and more ethnic injustices perpetrated on Indians by Indians are occurring right now in Guyana, according to newspaper reports.

Baseman, yuji, rama, cobra and company need to read this, next time they rant about an Indo victim of crime.

How you know the race of the people posting?

There are a few like Django, whose race cannot easily be ascertained, but I suspect that he is Indian. Cain stated that he is Portuguese.

As to the rest.  I cannot believe that you are seriously asking that question.

Carib ah guh clear it up i am Guyanese  third generation from Indian descent,my family is mix up of all kind of races, i grow up in a mixed village we think differently.

No problem at all.  In fact Guyana is evolving into a land comprising of people like you.

Which is why those who think that they can campaign solely on race (PPP), and then govern mainly on race (BOTH the PPP and APNU) aren't sustainable in the long run.

If he (Gilbakka) is not Indian then he is a liar.

Billy, more than once I stated clearly on this BB that I am a Guyanese who happens to have Indian ancestors. On my birth certificate, under the heading "Nationality", is the word GUYANESE. And that is what matters most to me; it is my birthright. I do not owe you or any Indian anything; no obligation whatever. This is the outlook I have held since my high school days.

Your attitude speaks volumes to anyone familiar with the Guyanese personality. You have something to hide. If you are going to present yourself as an eyewitness to political events and put out articles about it then you ought to identify yourself honestly. Why should I or anyone else give credence to you what you have to say when you pretending to be what you really are not.

Woot woot.
