Global bauxite outlook is on a positive trend
Guyana stand to benefit from the increased demand of bauxite and bauxite products on the global market as the prospects of the industry are good.
The positive global prospects of bauxite were reported at the 28th International Aluminum Conference organised by Metal Bulletin in Switzerland from September 17-19, which allowed both the upstream and downstream of the aluminum fraternity to benefit from analyses of the industry by some of the most prominent companies in the field.
Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Robert Persaud accompanied by Manager of Geological Services of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission, Jimmy Reece represented Guyana and participated in discussions on a holistic vision of the aluminum industry now, and for the imminent future.
