Known to many as a perfectionist, Chet Singh will definitely be one to watch when the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club stages its Drag Meet on October 2, at the South Dakota Circuit.
Singh, who once dominated the Group 2 division in circuit racing, also loves to engage in the Drag Meets and would usually earn equal success in his Mitsubishi Evolution VII, racing against some of the best in the category.
He is known to compete in the eleven seconds category and it will be interesting to see how he fares against the likes of Sanjay Persaud, Peter Daby and Anand Ramchand in what is shaping up to be an enthralling battle for top honours.
Among the categories to be contested on the quarter-mile strip are the F Class â 14 Seconds Bracket, E Class â 13 Seconds Bracket, D Class â 12 Seconds Bracket, C Class â 11 Seconds Bracket, B Class â 10 Seconds Bracket, A Class â 9 Seconds Bracket and the 8 Seconds Bracket. The Porta Tree Timing device with specialized starting lights will be operational throughout the day.
Starting time is 09:00 hrs and admission is adults $1000, children $500, while those under the age of 12 years and vehicles are free.
