GMV Minerals Inc. (TSXV:GMV) announced that it has received further detailed airborne magnetic and gamma-ray spectrometry survey data.
As quoted in the press release:
The new data covers GMV’s Aurora claims in Guyana.
The airborne survey was comprised of 5,100 line-kilometres of magnetics and gamma-ray spectrometry. Enhancement filters applied to the magnetics have highlighted a number of dominant structural orientations and trends. Definite ‘breaks’ in the predominate WNW fabric are shown by the magnetics and identified as target areas of interest. These cross-trends provide potential for significant fracturing and mobilization of mineralized fluids such as gold.
GMV’s VP Exploration, Douglas Perkins commented:
”This is truly one of the most exciting areas to test in GMV’s 1000 sq. mile land package. This new information has confirmed that we have the right ground not only from the proximity to significant defined gold deposits with similar geology but also by the anomalies indicated by the airborne survey and the presence of alluvial gold in the area.”
