To this point, he is a candidate looking for a constituency. He has aliened women, blacks, Hispanics Independents, etc so all he has is the white male from the right fringe and bugeyed dunces like the lot here.

The GOP is a shrinking party. It has managed to alienate most Blacks, over 2/3 of Hispanics, most women and College-educated whites. It denies science, behave like religious zealots with immense intolerance, and attacks women's reproductive rights and wants to put them in their place. It is a party whose custodians like Jeb Bush is calling for some sanity. It's Presidential nominee is not only out of touch with ordinary Americans but he's out of touch with the fundamentalists of the party. Paul Ryan is now between a rock (his TEA Party sympathizers) and a hard place (Romney's attempt to appear in the middle). He has no game changer as his path to 270 is shrinking.
