Yeah, my kids got me into it. Dem chaps wicked, all kind of sex on that show. brother and sister and all.
Prefer shows closer to reality. Knights and kings and Queens are fine until you bring the dragons in. I am watching "Mayans" now.
My son got me into it...he had read the books

I read the first five...the last two are still pending. The sixth, "winds of winter" will not even be published when the final series begins. The author, RR martin is known for being slow in turning out books in a series. It has been some 7 years since the last one. I guess we will have to wait another seven years before his ending to the series is finished. The books differ considerably from the series in parts.

This is as real as you can get. It is termed the Game of Thrones for a reason. The author called it the song of fire and ice. It is about people and the games they play in the pursuit of power. It is the reason it is so vicious and why no central personality ever lasts long but comes to unexpected ends at the spear point or poison pill of some other conniving person pursuing the throne. This one resolves sadly but justly. None of the game players win.
Stupid show.
arrite D2...enough of the hints...
Read the books and watched the show. Am very upset that the last seasons precede the books. I think the shows are very well done.

You really want to keep hope alive! This damn thing is not like Tolkien where the heroes never die. Here they get eviscerated and even then hanged then drawn and quarter followed by being burned on a stake. You never know when the axe will fall....and it falls like rain in the opening sequences of this season and continues unrelentingly to the end. Every episode will be a tear jerker and there are only six of them ( i think)to leave you empty and needing to seek your shrink if you are faint of heart. In the end you will be left gasping for breath and wondering why did you put yourself through all this agony...then...only if you are Hindu you will appreciate the circular time...because once again the refrain is as Ed Stark said in the first episode..."winter is coming"
