Head of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon today during his weekly press briefing told members of the media that there is every likelihood his government will not  increase the compensation recommended by the Linden COI to the estates of the three men killed during the July 18, 2012 disturbances.

Luncheon said that the administration will more than likely follow through on the awards made by the commission, without any changes. He also said  that some of the judgment, particularly those relating to the police could not be backed up by hard evidence, hence the government's reservation in accepting the report in its entirety. Dr. Luncheon further explained that unlike their judgment of the police’s role in the July 18 events, the commission was quite clear in their exoneration of Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee from all opposition leveled charges.

Nigel Hueges was calling for five million each for the three victims when the COI report recommend three million each. He think this is a campaign issue to score political points when he himself show no respect for the commissioners. What a bunch of creeps we're dealing with! Is this the kind of people AFC wants in their team?
