Govt must take responsibility for deadly prison riots – PPP

The parliamentary Opposition, the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) wasted no time in criticising the current Government for the disaster that rocked the Camp Street Prison, leaving more than a dozen prisoners dead.
In a press statement issued shortly after the tragedy, the Party expressed “utter shock and horror” over what occurred at the penitentiary.

“This virtual rebellion within the prison walls is the worst of its kind in recent history,” the Party stated.
Further, the PPP insisted that the “Granger-led Administration” must take full responsibility for the deadly prison protests.
The Party also called for a Board of Inquiry to be established to investigate the circumstances that led to this “sorry state of affairs”.
Notably, several unrests and killings occurred in the same overcrowded jailhouse while the PPP/Civic was in Government.
Nonetheless, the PPP assured that it has more to say about this development.

Your party did the same when you were in opposition. Now you complain when you feel the sting of rebuke for your incompetence.

I do not belong to any party. I am my own party. This riot is a culmination of years of neglect and corruption. Note it occurred as new rules were being implemented meaning the old corruptocrats did not like it.

Nonsense, it is the culmination over the past 9 months. The prisoners are well aware that their own Black govt is spending money on sporting and bringing the dead back to life while they are denied the basic necessities. As I mentioned before, it is animal farm all over again. You will soon come to the realization that you have been duped as now you claim it is not your party in power. The rats are fleeing the sinking ship.
