Me believe it was GFL and I was in touch with him a lot, but lost contact.  He did well selling plantain chips and other things.

Grace foods is doing extremely well in Northern Canada. Their coconut water is the only 100% pure juice, compared to those from Asia.

Some time ago, I wrote Grace CEO a story regarding their torpedo bottle pepper, that comes in two sizes.

The story goes :   At a gas station at Skeldon, Berbice I bought a bottle of Grace pepper  and as I do with bottles of rum, I place it in a wool sock and wrap it with electric tape, then place it in a  plastic bag [in case it breaks] before placing it in my suitcase to Canada.

I travelled to Albion , than on to New Amsterdam  with the pepper safely in my suitcase. It took four hours to cross the Berbice ferry and travelled to Georgetown and on to the Timehri airport. I gave mileage in the original story.

I then flew to Trinidad and on to Toronto and two other flights to my home in Northern Canada.

Being happy with  the bottle of pepper safely at home, the next day I went to the grocery  store to get some avocado and cottage cheese, that I like with the pepper

AND to my utter surprise the grocery store was selling the exact bottle of Grace pepper in Northern Canada.   AND  a lot cheaper than Skeldon.

After my mail was distributed with other  Grace executives, they sent me a large box with one each of all the items they make.

Grace products is one item here that takes me back to  the Caribbean and Guyana, that Denise stocks in her unique African store.  Grace foods is also a nice break from cold seal blubber.  

I loved Rabbi Plantain Chips fried in Coconot ile munching in Strand Cinema trying to hanky-panky wid a lil gurl!

Many successful Guyanese businesses today started as lil bottom house operations.  

I went the other direction. I started in my loft .

Rabbi Washington aka con David Hill had a good plantain chip. If he had continued to bunk at Freedom House then he could have gotten lots of opportunities to expand his plantain chip empire because the Jagans liked him.
