…merely agrees to meeting between AG, Opposition rep
Jagdeo had sought clarification in light of Granger’s unjustified rejection of the list of six nominees, which was submitted to him. On Wednesday, the Opposition Leader received a letter from the President, which, however, did not provide the clarification that the President had promised. This did not sit well with the Opposition, which, in a statement, expressed disappointment that the Government had not furnished the clarity sought in a matter of such national importance and magnitude. Instead, the President merely proposed that a meeting be held between Attorney General Basil Williams and a person of the Leader of the Opposition’s choice “in order to avoid further misinterpretation or misunderstanding of this important constitutional matter”.
The statement further states that in the interest of the nation, the Opposition Leader will accede to the President’s request, and will send a representative to the meeting with the Attorney General.

I bet 300,000 un-printed birth certificates you are right. The process started since May 2015. Why do you think there was the creation of the Minister of Citizenship? Do you know of any country in the world where there is a Minister of Citizenship?
How you guh get them out now?

Canada got ministry of citizenship
Minister of citizenship and immigration for several million people. They handle all the thousands of refugees coming into Canada. Felix is not doing the same thing in Guyana. What is he doing anyway?
Looks like Granger and Jagdeo have become Pen Pals. Reminds me of those far-off times 50 years ago when I had a bundle of pen friends. Oh, how I looked forward daily to the postman's arrival!!! I guess Jagdeo had the same feeling waiting for Granger's letter.
I never expected Granger to keep his word to Jagdeo anyway.
Why lose sleep over whether or who runs GECOM? The elections going forward would be no more than window dressing.
