Shooting suspect who allegedly killed man during Queens robbery busted in Pennsylvania
A man sought for shooting a 31-year-old man to death during a robbery in Queens — marking the first homicide of the new year — was behind bars Saturday after being tracked to Pennsylvania, officials said.
Members of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police picked up Dreshaun Smith, 22, in Monroe County on Thursday, according to the website The Morning Call.
Smith was captured about 110 miles from where he allegedly shot Ricky Kalisaran while trying to rob him and his brother in South Richmond Hill on Jan. 2.
The brother, 24-year-old Sunny Kalisaran, was shot in the back but survived. He was wearing a flashy gold chain believed to have caught the shooter’s eye.

The brothers were shot on 124th St. near Liberty Ave. about 3:25 a.m. Several hours earlier, they had attended their grandmother’s funeral, devastated family members said.
