Hammie already suffered. He got the grass roots votes when they were angry with Hoyte. He lost these votes when he campaigned with the PPP against Hoyte in the 1997 election. The PNC was supposed to have been whipped but regained its normal support.

All the PPP needs to do is hold local govt elections and then we will finally be rid of him.
