Following the completion of the inaugural Bartica leg of the Guinness βGreatest of the Streetsβ Competition, all eyes are now focused on the National Playoffs set to commence on July 8 in the Mining Town of Linden.
Sixteen teams have been selected by the Organisers to contest the eagerly- anticipated event which has been attracting large crowds since its inception and this yearβs Playoffs promises to be no different.
The composition of the representative teams will show that Georgetown will have defending champion Sparta Boss, Back Circle, Tucville and Broad Street Ballerz; East Coast Demerara- Melanie B, Buxton Diamond and Plaisance B; Bartica- River View; Berbice- East Bank Gunners, New Amsterdam Kings; Linden- Swag Entertainment, Silver Bullets and Dave and Celena All Stars and West Demerara- Hustlers, Showstoppers and Money Team.
The competition will resume on July 14 at the Pouderoyen Market Tarmac, while the semi-finals and final will be played the following day at Demerara Park.
