I use to cut cane. Cane cutters were hard working folks. It use to be difficult to get a "tag" to go work at Bookers. Not sure what's the problem now.

Did it myself for a couple years in the mid 70's,started working for cane farmers and then move to the Sugar Estates, back breaking job but the money was good and i was single, average cut and load 3 tons per day.
I guess there are other less back breaking opportunities in employment causing the shortage.

Don't hate, I urge you and others to contribute to the Crime thread since May 2015. It is a public service to those looking to find out about crime in Guyana with hard data that can not be refuted.

No hate bhai, you are doing a good job, database can be created from the info.
I still fell the media doesn't report all the crimes that are occurring.
So GNI "VIEWS" is now used as a benchmark to determines that crimes in Guyana is the second highest in the Caribbean.
