@Viper posted:On December 21, 2018, Hon.Charrandass Persaudchanged the trajectory of Guyana from going down a path of dictatorship and financial ruin to a state where people will eventually become more enlightened and involved in determining their own political futures (Well, he started it and we ended it).The PNC tried to wipe it away by calling it National Petroleum Day
On point ,except the wrong parties are blamed , the reasons are to cover their front man ,who is the true dictator ,quite cunning !!!!
When a dedicated politician sees the truth and turns against the coalition, it speaks volumes. Since that date, people can see why, rather than to be told why. Progress was stagnant. Criminals were let loose. Thousands of Guyanese were laid off. Factories were close down. Money was taken away from school children. The country was painted in Green and Yellow. Granger's face was everywhere. You could smell dictatorship from a known Indo-racist according to an American cable released.
This man did the unthinkable and stood up against the coalition and said, yes, yes, yes, get these bald-head friggers out-ah-yaa.
OUR HERO . HE MEK THEM GADAHAS HALLA LAKA PIG: NO CHARAN NO, OW CHARAN SAY YES NAH ME GUN LICK YUH BANGAROO
God bless Charrandas for voting against the criminal Coalition in that NCM. If he was indeed paid a million dollars for that vote, he was paid too little because his vote paved the way for the removal of the PNC dictatorship that began brewing behind the scene when Granger unilaterally appointed Patterson to bring back Burnham style despotic rule. It is good that Guyana is now in the hands of the only party that has always respected democracy and the rule of law.
What became of the charges of Mustapha's wife slapping Charrandas at a PPP meeting in Canje. Where Charrandas was mouthing off opposing comments at a PPP public meeting ? Now partners and crooked like hell.

Not even the religious festival of Diwali could have escaped the election spin-off. The entire East Canje
Berbice leg of the Diwali celebrations held on Sunday evening at the Rose Hall Estate Community Ground in Canefield, Canje, ended in an uproar.
In the end, a woman hit Alliance for Change (AFC) member, Attorney- at- Law, Charrandass Persaud, in the face after he shouted to Minister Ashni Singh on the stage to stop talking politics.
The event was attended by Minister Ashni Singh, Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud and his daughter, as well as the Region Six Chairman.
A review of the recording revealed that Minister Dr Ashni Singh actually said, âEmbrace all lessons in the religious texts as you exercise this very important democratic franchise come November 28.
âWe ask you to be deliberate in your judgments, to consider the track records of the parties presenting themselves before you; to analyze the programmes they outline and make a careful judgment as to who you believe is best to run our country.
âYou Berbicians know better than anybody else. The work we had to do since 1992 to rebuild this country. I call on you to bare these lessons.â
He then thanked the members of the public for supporting the PPP and the government. He asked the crowed for their continued support, inspiration and prayers.
âToday the challenges are different. The country, having been rebuilt and the foundations laid, the challenges to make our country the prosperous place. This effort requires the right governmentâĶâ
It was at this point where Mr Persaud could be heard saying, âTalk Diwali! Not politics! Stop the politics! Talk Diwali!â Minister Singh continued but hurriedly ended the speech.
Some persons opined that Mr Persaud, even though he was angry and very rightly so, should have dealt differently with the matter, while others said that the occasion, being a religious one, should not have been laced with political overtones about the elections and governments.
When contacted, Mr Persaud said that he became irate after Dr Singh was on the stage and urging the crowd to âvote PPPâ and saying, âI bring you greetings from the President and incoming President, Donald Ramotarâ.
âRight away, he went on to talk about the good things the PPP is doing and even asked the people to give them another term in office,â Persaud told Kaieteur News.
Persaud said that he became angry and shouted out to Dr Singh on stage. âI yelled out, âdonât talk politics; talk religionâ, and this lady beside me cuff me in my face. It wasnât a cuff that hurt.â
Persaud said that Singh quickly concluded the political message on the stage. âRight away, he cut his speech off and I walked awayâ. He said that another man might have retaliated against the woman but he walked quietly away.
He alleged that Regional Chairman of Region Six, Zulfikar Mustapha, who was sitting on stage, then urged someone from the crowd to slap Persaud.
Persaud also alleged that`
AFC Member, Mr Charrandass Persaud
Mr Mustapha came down and went up to him and asked him if he did not know it was his wife that just hit him.
Persaud also claimed that Mustapha made a threat against him.
âYou like talk? I gon shut you up,â he quoted Mustapha as saying. He said Mustapha reported the matter to Sergeant Diagram of the Police station.
When contacted, Mr. Mustapha doubted ever meeting Persuade in the crowd or making any threats against him.
âI just asked him [from the stage] if that is the training he get from his party. Charrandass is a wicked man if he said that I made threats against him. Something wrong to him; heâs a wicked man. I never talk to him,â Mustapha said late Sunday evening.
âI said aloud âThat is what AFC teach you? To assault ladies? I didnât even know which women knock him,â Chairman said.
He further added that they will be consulting their legal teams about the matter.
Persuade is contending that âsince I came on board with the AFC, their whole inside a churn.â
Organizer of the event, Mr. Bhopal Jargon, when contacted, said that he invited the Minister because he [the Minister] holds a central position on the Guyana Hindu Dharma Sabha. He denied knowing of a woman punching Mr. Persuade in the face.
âI heard he was shouting but I couldnât understand what he speaking, [I] wasnât aware that he was punched, but I know there was a little commotion where he was,â Jargon said.
He said that all Minister Singh told the crowd was that an important period was coming up next month and that everybody should use their senses to vote. âI didnât hear him said anything about the PPP.
âMinister Ashni Singh is a member of the Central Committee of Dharma Sabha. He also represents the government.â
When asked whether politics belonged at such a religious event, the organizer said, âI always say politics and religion should come hand in hand, and maybe he was using an opportunity as a politician to say something about the government he represents. I donât agree for politics to dominate the occasion but I have not seen the dominance of politics in the occasion.
âThe fact that little politics was mentioned in the event, I canât stifle my conscience. Most of the members that spoke were members of the PPP and Dharma Sabha as well. There was no restriction for politics to be said on the floor.â
Mustapha is liar and a crook. Many believe that he world make a threating remark [to Charrasdas] and later lie about it. In another occasion, he told the police to seize a camera, when a photographer he did not know, was photographing Rohee.
Just like the last times, most in the PPP will become richer from corruption, after the PPP term in office. While the PPP voters lives don't change much.
Charrandass Persaud visit to Parliament sparks uproar
Charrandass Persaud (third from left) with Speaker Manzoor Nadir (second from left) and government parliamentarians yesterday.
December 24 ,2020
Former APNU+AFC Parliamentarian Charrandass Persaud was yesterday welcomed as an observer at the 14th Sitting of the 12th Parliament hours after members of the Opposition berated him for daring to show his face.
âI would like to acknowledge the presence of former member Charrandass Persaud who should feel very protected in this building,â Speaker Manzoor Nadir announced amidst a debate on a motion to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Speakerâs comment was a clear reference to a verbal altercation between Persaud and Opposition APNU+AFC Parliamentarians including Sherod Duncan and former Minister Annette Ferguson.
Persaudâs vote for a PPP/C motion of no-confidence on December 21, 2018 had brought down the APNU+AFC government.
During the confrontation which was observed by Stabroek News, Duncan told Persaud that he should be ashamed of himself.
âYou sat there until it no longer suited your purpose. You didnât care about anybody else. It was shameful. I am saying it was shameful and I donât care who you go and talk to about what I say it will still be shameful,â Duncan said to his former party member as Persaud stood behind several members of the Guyana Police Force (GPC).
Reminded that his behaviour was unbecoming of his position as a Parliamentarian, Duncan maintained that he did not care how it look.
âThey dismissing hundreds of people and donât care that it look bad so I donât care that this looks bad,â he declared.
It is not clear what prompted the altercation but Persaud had been observed at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC) since before the commencement of the sitting.
Stabroek News observed him entering and exiting the washroom on the second level in close proximity to the room being used as a lounge for Opposition members. At that time, though several members were in the vicinity none approached or acknowledged their former colleague.
It was just after the lunch break as Persaud exited yet another washroom, this time on the ground floor that members voiced their objections to his presence.
In a blistering tirade, Ferguson declared that God would handle Persaud for his sins while Duncan refused to comply with requests that he walk away.
Persaud eventually left the building and returned with an armed guard who was told he would need to lodge his firearm before he entered the building.
Again it is not clear why Persaud was present at the sitting since COVID-19 protocols implemented by Parliament Office have not made provisions for the attendance of the General Public.
Despite this, Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister Kwame McCoy applied to the Speaker to offer Persaud a personal commitment to his personal safety as a former Member of Parliament visiting the National Assembly.
âI understand that Mr Charrandass Persaud was vehemently verbally assaulted, along with finger-pointing, at the resumption in the lobby of the ACCC, by MPs Ferguson, (Jermaine) Figueira and Duncan. The COVID-19 social distancing was breached and Mr Persaud had to retreat into the area occupied by the police to stave off the assault. It was said to be loud and very unseemly. Mr Speaker, beyond the perceived lack of alacrity by the police, I hope you can remind all members of the behaviour expected in the precincts of the building when the parliament is in session,â he said in his appeal.
Nadir duly offered the requested assurance which was later criticized by APNU+AFC as a sign of partiality.
âHis comments today that Charrandass Persaud is welcomed in the National Assembly is cause for concern. Persaud is a member of the public just like any other citizen of Guyana. He is not entitled to special treatment nor does he enjoy any privileges in relation to the National Assembly. It is to be recalled that the courts declared Persaudâs membership of the Assembly an illegality, therefore the basis upon which the Nadir has laid out this red carpet welcome is unclear,â APNU+AFC said in a statement.
Persaud has been persona non grata to APNU+AFC since his affirmative vote on the No Confidence Motion in December 2018.
Initially he fled Guyana for Canada as he said his life was in danger. He returned to the country earlier this year but had kept a low profile until yesterday.
Charandass Persaud's visit to Parliament was a provocation. He is an idiot and deserves to have his ears boxed.

Small man Duncan got alot of spunk in him. One day someone will drop a bunch of licks in him.
Why is Charrandas back in Guyana risking his life? That is a racist shithole dangerous frontier failed State.
That is what happens when people get misguided. Charrandas fell for the AFC Kool-Aid and behaved unruly at a function but he just couldn't stand the PNC stench so he quickly tried to separate himself from the Coalition as the PNC stench was quickly infecting the immunodeficient AFC. It is good for him that he came to his senses when he did. His act saved the entire nation from the crooked PNC and it's supporters.
If a PPP member crossed the Jagdeo PPP and acted like Charrandas, chances they might suffered the ultimate consequence.
But Charrandas hypocritical action resulted in him being a bigger rotting stench with others in the PPP. By joining their band of arrogance, nastiness and vindictiveness.
The prodigal son returns to open arms. Who previously did not even want to be see with a PPP member and lose clients who were associated with the PPP.
Its a matter of time, before he also is no longer useful to the PPP and kicked to the curb.
Some Indians are the scourge of the earth.
