Don't get carried away, CaribJ made a statement without source and I requested he provide the woman's name to confirm his rantings. If you ask IT professional they will tell you that a Black IT person is few and far in between. These are the facts, live with it.

Druggie the woman is in the IT field and lives in the USA. She owns her own IT firm and has been involved for the past 2 years in exposing Guyanese of ALL RACES to robotics and related areas.

Now go and scream, cry and contemplate in your misery.  Every time a black Guyanese does something positive you have a mental breakdown.

Why is that druggie? Are you such a loser that you can only have self esteem by thinking that you are better than others?  This woman will make you look like a little kid in kindergarten in terms of her exposure in the field and that little coding that you do.

Ask yourself why she offers her services and doesn't care what a sad pathetic creature like you thinks about this.

IT is a term loosely thrown around by those not in the field.  I am referring to the engineering aspect of IT, not the guy who fixes a printer or installs a mother board with a few screws and electrical connections.

Name the woman before ranting about this fictitious person. You have been known to be a liar in the past. You lied about the opulent lifestyles of Blacks in Barbados.  And how every black was a bank manager. Then it turned out that we had eyewitness accounts of Indians owning stores and Black Bajans working for them.

I made a statement that in general Blacks are underrepresented in the IT professional field. I didn't make claims about Guyanese IT. In fact tell us about all the IT firms in Guyana that are Black owned and who are their clients other than jackass Granger.

This is about Guyanese who are doing well.  So of what relevance is the under representation of US based blacks (and Hispanics) in IT.

Both those who helped the kids excel and the kids themselves.  This is an example of Guyanese of DIVERSE backgrounds functioning as Guyanese, quite likely even not overtly concerned about their different ethnicities.

You cannot stand this and became deeply upset.  The fact that a black US based female was the core of this is what has you distraught.  You don't know the woman but proceed to undermine her credibility. You do so because every time a black Guyanese excels you collapse into deep depression as apparently your self esteem rests on you thinking that you are better than us.

Druggie I am sorry for you and the fact that you cannot feel pride in this event with Guyana, a small nation and a low tech one at that, beating 155 other countries. I am told that at least one other Caribbean nation might also have finished in the top 20.  Deeply depressing news for you as it is one of the smaller islands, one of those where 95% of the population is black, meaning that these most likely are a bunch of black kids.

FM

Who are the people who reported that Indians own everything in Barbados?  Skeldonman and others of the Indo KKK.  The Indians who own businesses in Barbados are from India.  The Indo Guyanese are cheap labor.

Now continue to wail and scream and enter deep depression and further medicate yourself that your attempt to paint black Caribbean people as an inferior bunch is false.

Twist yourself into frustration. Those who matter know who this woman is. I am NOT going to mention her name because I am NOT going to let you and the rest of your Indo KKK band engage in your filthy racism against her. She has donated her services FREE to help Guyana. I have no intention in letting stink mouth people like you and the rest of the Indo KKK drag this fine woman's name in the mud.

Clearly this is the case.  A true clue that some one is a loser is when he gets angry when others excel.  This is a time for Guyanese to be proud because this is an example where a multi ethnic team of Guyanese helped a multi ethnic team of Guyanese kids beat 155 other nations in a technology event.

When Druggie can indicate that he owns an IT firm, instead of just being a slave for some one else who does then he can compare himself to that woman and to the other people who are involved in this exercise.

It's a shame that during the PPP time, any achievement by the Guyanese coolies were trivialized by you. You, at that time, preferred to shower your accolades and divert attention to the black students from the Caribbean Islands. You should work with Al Sharpton, Grainjah, and Harmun.

Guyana consistently came LAST in the CXC exams and I furnished comparative data with other Caribbean countries in English and Math.

Can you infer from this that this poor performance was due only to blacks?

It would appear to me as if Guyanese on the whole were doing poorly, but of course a racist like you will imply that it was the blacks who caused Guyana's performance to be abysmal.

Clearly Karen is not an IT person. She had her degree in Management and at some point worked as a project manager(This position requires no IT experience) in brief spurts, 2 years and 3 years respectively, then she went on to open a non profit teaching business.  On further inspection, the business she supposedly runs is a non profit and the link to its website is dead:  http://mathsciencerobotics.com

No IT professional would have a dead link to their business. In fact the "business" is  a teaching academy with supposedly 5 employees.

Her endorsements on linkedin does not include any IT experience.

Her resume also does not show that she was a software developer of any sort nor had any schooling in computer science.

No wonder CaribJ did not post this info, only his stooge Mars ran along to do his bidding with disastrous results.

Druggie is now babbling and drooling, his brain now fried because of his nervous breakdown.

Poor thing jealous that she has more impact than you will ever have.  So she hut down the nonprofit and moved on to other things.

Now weep and wail and display extreme rage that this woman brought some Guyanese to the USA to complete in a global event and they came TENTH!

She has an MBA whereas you don't even have GCE passes.

How do you know what her personal goals are? Maybe her goals are to help kids develop the types of innovative thinking that would enable them to be more than the coding slave that you are.

Thanks to her efforts this team from Guyana came 10th and from what I can see the nations which beat them are mainly wealthy and highly developed nations. In fact the kids themselves reported that there was some skepticism that a team from some small poor third world country could do well.

Its just amazing that your ego rests upon denigrating others.

Pity you are so locked in your jealousy that you couldn't see this.  And its only your need to feel superior to blacks that is the reason for this.

First Lady Sandra Granger (third from right) as she joins in the celebration with the STEM Guyana team

THE Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Guyana team returned home to a warm welcome by the First Lady, Sandra Granger, Director of Sport Christopher Jones as well as several other Government officials at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport Wednesday evening, after fierce competition at the recently concluded First Global Challenge in Washington, D.C.

The young Guyanese team comprising Ryan Benschop (team captain), Anthony Frank, Arianna Mahase, Christopher Nelson, Sahief Poese and Vevekeanand Ramnarace, alongside Team Manager Farnaz Baksh; Coach Ricky Chan; and Public Relations Officer Horace Moseley, placed 10th after battling against 164 other countries from around the globe.
The achievement by the nine-member team is phenomenal, considering that they had only four months to prepare for a competition which was new to them. However, their achievement is being celebrated by the Guyanese population.

First Lady Sandra Granger as she welcomes home Arrianna Mahase, a member of the STEM Guyana team

Twenty-two-year-old Farnaz Baksh, team manager and one of the two lone females on the team, said that part of the team’s success came from observing their environment. She explained that during preparation for the competition, they had experienced some difficulties which were solved from engineering techniques used in Guyana for drainage and irrigation. Baksh stated that, “one of the main focuses was our pull-up mechanism which was because of the weight of the bot, it was a little too heavy and then we thought our koker system in Guyana, those doors are way heavier, so what is the gear mechanism behind it so that it lifts all the weight so some of the students went and inspected it and saw how the gear works and which go where; so it was between turk and speed, so we needed more turk and less speed so that’s how come we used a larger sprocket and it actually helped us in all six matches we got out 20 points because of studying the koker system here in Guyana.”

During the competition, the robot was required to battle against opponents in the competition’s simulation exercise, called ‘H2O Flow’. Vevekeanand Ramnarace, who is one of the youngest members of the team, said that aim of the competition was to promote global cooperation in one of the 14 engineering issues that the world is seeking to solve. Water contamination is one of those issues.
Ramnarace explained that they had to design a robot that is able to take contaminated water, sort the contaminant particle from the clean water and dispose of them accordingly. However, competing in such a major competition called for cooperation and support from each member of the team. Horace Moseley, public relations officer for the team, explained that upon seeing all the different robots from the various countries, the team was a bit skeptical about their chances.

The STEM Guyana team which represented Guyana well on the international stage at the First Global Challenge in Washington, D.C. (Front row-from left to right) Team Manager Farnaz Baksh, Anthony Frank and Christopher Nelson. (back row-from left to right) Vevekeanand Ramnarace, Coach Ricky Chan, Public Relations Officer Horace Moseley and Sahief Poese

Nevertheless, Moseley said the team all came together and put their best foot forward. “So, when we started and even the first day of the match, and we went out, we saw our bot moving really different from every other bot, way faster, way better in performance and I was like wow to us, so our bot it really, really gave us a really good feeling right through the match, all the matches,” he stated.
First Lady Sandra Granger who was instrumental in introducing the STEM initiative to Guyana, said that she was overjoyed at the performance of the team, since robotics is fairly new to Guyana. Mrs. Granger highlighted that the feat by the Stem team demonstrates what can be achieved by the young minds of Guyana, once the opportunities are presented and all the necessary investments made.
Looking towards the future, Mrs. Granger pointed out that her main focus will be to ensure that every child across Guyana is involved in robotics. Mrs. Granger explained that, “we are talking about setting up clubs and leagues and we start competing in communities and clubs, so that we start to build and grow our talents in robotics, it can only be beneficial to usâ€Ķ So, I see it as just pushing everything together and all the pieces of STEM coming together and moving us forward. So, it is developmental on a personal as well as a professional-technical level.” STEM Guyana will now turn their focus to the next global challenge, which will be held in Mexico City in 2018. Their aim is to emerge on top of the competing countries and make Guyana proud once more. (DPI)

Hinds is legitimate as he has a CS degree, Karen on the other hand is a project manager and not a good one at that as her claim to fame is managing a kids project. Do you believe her resume would have any credence in a fortune 500 company. They judge PM based on the size of the budget of their project and if completed within projected cost and on time.

Three teenagers from Georgia have decided to take the issue into their own hands.

Caleb Christian, 14, and his two sisters — Ima, 16, and Asha, 15 — are about to roll out an app called "Five-O," which will let users document police abuse and join together as a community to problem-solve.
