.........This newspaper was told that when Persaud saw the police he ran into his house and locked the door to prevent them from entering.One eyewitness said that the police then kicked open his door and then gunshots were heard, after which the ranks were seen hurriedly dragging Persaud out of his house. “We hear about four gunshots,” the eyewitness said.
