Somebody want get rid of Donald

February 3, 2015 | By | Filed Under Dem Boys Seh, Features / Columnists, News

From de time he put he signature to de constitutional amendment everybody know that Jagdeo regret it. He been good as President. He didn’t have to answer to nobody; he didn’t have to pay fuh nutten and he coulda get whatever he want wid a phone call.
People see that and know that once he did sit down too long de country woulda get a monster. He woulda pass order like Deng Xiao Peng or like Adolph Hitler.
Is he own people put in that clause that no president can stand fuh reelection more than once because dem did want to get a chance to become president. Dem did also want fuh get rid of he. But Jagdeo still had a trick. He believe that in a few years he woulda get people fuh change dem mind and revamp de constitution. That ain’t happen till now.
He get a man name Richardson fuh get two lawyer fuh challenge he own signature.  Then he come up wid an idea. He get Anil fuh challenge de very constitution he swear to defend. Anil call two lawyer and tell dem that Jagdeo got money fuh pay dem good and if dem get a judge fuh change back de constitution then he gun mek one prime minister and de other head of de Central Bank.
Dem file de challenge and dem waiting. Jagdeo was smart. He lef de country suh nobody coulda seh that is he tell dem fuh do it but dem boys know that in this day and age you can deh pun de moon and give instructions.
De problem is which judge gun tek on de case. Chang seh that he fed up getting cuss fuh Jagdeo suh he gun give somebody who can tek cuss and don’t even care.
Already Anil telling some people that de term limit is unconstitutional, that it denying a man he right to do wha he want.
Well, dem boys seh that this challenge gun prove how bad Jagdeo want de presidency.
Talk half and wait fuh de change.

This is the first real PPP miscalculation so far. This will in the short term be successful in that they can ram it through the courts, nominate Jagdeo, and he may probably win the election. However, I can see the Western Powers marking a line through his name in London, Ottawa, and Washington for this.

This may very well be that one over reach too far.

The Mugabe of Guyana more like it. I doubt he would get into office as president again though. A military intervention would be on the card. Obama has been concentrating on local issues. A new US president would more than likely take a far harder stance on a communist regime that tries to undermine the US economy with drugs smuggling.

Understand something.  In the eyes of the rest of the world Guyana is in that obscure corner of South America occupied by three odd countries which don't belong anywhere.   No one knows what to make of these three countries, none of which have populations exceeding one million.  Indeed the TOTAL population of Guyana is LESS than Kingston Jamaica and its surrounding suburbs.

So no.  No US president is going to care.  Its not an established fact that they even care about drug imports into the USA.  Far more drugs are transported into the US via Puerto Rico, Haiti and the DR, and yet no intervention!

If Guyanese don't solve their own problems, no one else will.  Not "CARICOM" (which consists of 13 other heads of state who wish they can get away with what Burnham did and what Jagdeo/Ramotar are now doing).  NOT the ABC nations either, aside from some condescending speeches by their ambassadors.

Trinidad is different from Guyana for only ONE reason.  Trinidadians will not allow any gov't to run roughshod over them.  Guyanese have been trained by Janet Jagan, Forbes Burnham and Bharat Jagdeo to be terrified of their gov't.  Being "anti-gov't" in Guyana is seen as being treasonous.  A Trini observing this would be astounded by this stupidity.
