Guyana team off to Caribbean Badminton Championships in Trinidad

The Guyana National nine-member Badminton Team will be attending the Caribbean Regional & International Badminton Championships fixed for August 9 – 25, 2017 in Trinidad.

The Tournament is being played at the National Racket Centre in Tacarigua. Last year at this Championship held in Aruba the Guyana Team brought home 13 Medals (2-Gold, 7-Silvers and 4-Bronze). This included the Under-19 Team Championships where they placed second.

This year Guyana will be participating in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles in these Events:

CAREBACO Regional Championships:
Under-13 Junior -Vikash Mootoo
Under-17 Junior – Priyanna Ramdhani, Tyrese Jeffrey & Akili Haymes
Under-19 Junior – Jonathan Mangra, Priyanna Ramdhani & Ambika Ramraj

CAREBACO International Championships:
Under-19 Junior – Jonathan Mangra & Priyanna Ramdhani

CAREBACO Seniors International Championships – Narayan and & Priyanna Ramdhani

CAREBACO Masters Over-45 Championship: Gokarn Ramdhani & Dr. Nicholas Waldron
