[www.inewsguyana.com] – Nankishore Tajram, a Cattle Farmer of No.62 Village Corentyne Berbice was robbed of a quantity of gold, cash and liquor amounting to approximately $2 million on Wednesday night (January 07) by three men who were armed with a gun and knives.

His relative, Pooran Tajram, who is visiting from the United States, was also robbed. The incident occurred at Nankishore’s home at approximately 19:00hrs.

iNews understands that the men first confronted Nankishore who was in his back yard at the time and ordered him to the front of the house, where the they proceeded to rob him and the US citizen.

The police arrived on the scene shortly after and several persons were taken into custody for questioning but were subsequently released. [Leroy Smith]
