Diamond Resident shot dead during argument

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Ryan Couchman of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara was shot dead this evening (January 04) at the Soesdyke junction by a known assailant who is currently in police custody.

iNews understands that Couchman and others were on their way home from the Creek when they decided to stop at the Soesdyke junction to have a few beers; however an argument ensued and the assailant left, went to his car and retrieved a gun.

Eyewitnesses said he then shot Couchman approximately four times at close range in his chest and abdomen. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the shooter is a police officer.

He is currently at the Grove Police Station as investigations continue. [Fareeza Haniff]
