This is a leg off Chief's thread: This thread already loses the core of the issue and the seriousness of saving one's life. Who is to blame? Let read what the story said!

Another person has collapsed and died at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA). This time, 59- year- old Sugrim Mohabir of Lot 85 ‘A’ Miss Pheobe, Port Mourant, Corentyne, who was heading to the United States on a Caribbean Airlines flight to do bypass surgery on his heart, collapsed as he was making his way to the check-in counter on Thursday.

We must give serious thoughts and consideration before blaming the airport staff!

1. This man is suffering from a heart ailment and is about to travel overseas.

2. Guyana is hot and humid, and that is more stress to the heart.

3. I don't think Limacol or ambulance could have saved him, even if he was picked up immediately and taken to the hospital.

4. Guyana airport staffs are not medical professional who could save the man's life.

5. All fingers are pointed at the airport staff for not providing adequate assistance to save the man's life.

Who is to blame? Let's put on our thinking cap for once!

Do u know that Atkinson Airfield was better equipped that CJIA. Perhaps, it is a curse. Y would the PPP be so eager to rename Timehri after Cheddie Jagan. The man, who so deeply cared for the Indian Sugar workers. They come to die at his name sake. These ppl are so stupid, they used the name of Guyana greatest leader associated with an eye-sore, lack of adequate facilities for tourists and disrespectful operators.

The first thing visitors sees coming to Guyana-the airport-and the name of the father of the nation. He wasn't much of a Father, if his Party choose to represent him that way.

Sir, I am not a PPP, and second you must make a compelling case before blaming the airport staff. If someone fell in your front yard and die, would you want to be blame for it?

The title of your thread says "Guyanese are becoming irresponsible". Are you blaming the dead man? Who exactly is being irresponsible?

This is a road better not traveled because we would all be guessing as to the outcome if indeed the man had access to an ambulance and medical care. I had a friend who had a heart attack and was promptly taken to the hospital by ambulance in the US, he did not survive. So to speculate on whether the cause of this man's death was the lack of prompt attention is futile. His problems started decades ago, either from bad eating habits, stress or genetics. So lets not play the blame game.
